Welcome To Airport Magazine Online

By Sean Broderick | September 30, 2007

Welcome to the new online home for Airport Magazine, the official publication of the American Association of Airport Executives. On this site, you’ll find just about anything you coudl want related to the publication, including the latest issue, online archives (which will grow more complete over time) advertising information, and much more.

We also have a blog that, for the time being, resides on the site’s home page. The plan with the blog is to focus on airside safety and related regulatory compliance (read: Part 139). I have been writing about aviation for more than a decade, and much of my work has focused on some aspect of aviation safety. I don’t think it is possible to focus too much on safety, so I will use this outlet to communicate information that, for myriad reasons, might not make it into the magazine’s pages. (For those interested, here is a link to our RSS feed, via Feedburner.)

At the outset, I will be the blog’s primary contributor, but don’t rule out seeing other bylines in the posts. Also, we will use the blog to communicate any information we feel needs to get out there–from safety-related information to the latest news on the magazine itself.

Using the Web to expand Airport Magazine’s offerings is important to us. We want to ensure that our readers are constantly getting more value from the magazine. We will work to expand this site’s offerings with an eye on adding more value for you, the reader. Your feedback is, of course, always welcome. Don’t hesitate to let us know how we’re doing, and what we can do better. Find our contact information here; use it liberally.

Thanks for stopping by–enjoy the site and the magazine.
