Current Issue

It’s been almost a year since aviation, like the rest of the world’s economy, was hit with the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. During these past months, AAAE has developed new programs to ensure that our members continue to enjoy a strong level of support in their operations. Your association has converted meetings to online training options, added on-demand courses in many areas, worked tirelessly

to keep the industry in touch with the rapidly changing legislative landscape, provided free webinars to keep members informed, and much more.

Airport Magazine has pivoted as well to adjust our planned content to meet the new and pressing needs of our readers. In that spirit, we are pleased to offer the articles in this issue, which provide the outlook of airport directors on the impact of the past year and their best assessment of what lies ahead in 2021. We appreciate the time they have spent analyzing the events of the past months and sharing their thoughts going forward. It is one of the strengths of AAAE that we are able to bring you the personal insights of these industry leaders.

Your association works every day to offer our members the opportunities that are so important during these troubled days. Let us know how we are doing and what more we can do.

We appreciate the support of advertisers in this issue:

Burns & McDonnell • BYD • Delta Airport Consultants

Easi-Set Buildings • Ex-Cell Kaiser • Global GRAB Technologies

Hanson Professional Services • Kimley-Horn and Associates

Michael Baker International • Olsson • RICONDO • Xced GSE

Keep reading, and check on the many educational opportunities available at AAAE by reviewing our website, www.aaae.org.
